LINDSAY Lohan has avoided arrest after leaving rehab early - by checking in to the Betty Ford Clinic.
The troubled actress appeared to be in hot water when she bailed out of the court-agreed medical unit in Newport Beach, California after just an hour in the building.
However she swiftly moved on to the popular celebrity recovery centre in nearby Rancho Mirage to check-in as a patient after her lawyer negotiated the switch of venue with court officials.

Lindsay will now serve her 90-day treatment order at the clinic or face arrest and potential imprisonment for probation violation.
Lindsay was previously a resident at the famed Betty Ford Center in 2010 when she spent time there for another court-ordered stint of rehabilitation following a DUI arrest.
Meanwhile Lindsday's former pal Paris Hilton has spoken out to blame her family as a cause of some of her problems.

US chat show host David Letterman asked the leggy blonde socialite: "What do you make of what is going on today with Lindsay Lohan and other young stars who are not doing well? Troubled, having problems ... you have a little insight there."
To which Paris responded: "Yeah, I think it all comes down to your family. I'm very lucky to have such an amazing family - I think some people aren't that fortunate."
She then continued to voice her support for the Hollywood beauty, despite the fact they fell out back in 2006 and are thought to have never reconciled their friendship.
